§ Ms JowellWhile none of the regulations laid by the Department have specifically targeted small businesses, all which impact on business generally take account of the needs of small businesses. For example, Statutory Instrument 1998/574, The Medicines for Human Use and Medical Devices (Fees and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1998, reduced fees for all businesses involved in the manufacture and sale of medicines for human use. It also extended a small business concession to a greater number of companies.
