§ Mr. Chris SmithThe Government are determined to ensure that Lottery money is allocated fairly and equitably across the whole of the United Kingdom and between different groups in society. The National Lottery Bill gives the Heritage Lottery Fund and the other Lottery distributors important new powers in this respect; and later today I will be announcing the confirmation of new directions for the Lottery distributors, designed to achieve precisely this objective.
