§ Mr. Nigel Griffiths[holding answer 21 May 1998]The European Commission is the competent investigative authority on EC competition law cases. It is therefore the appropriate body to respond to attempts to challenge its decisions or delay their implementation. However, I can assure my hon. Friend that we support the full and fair application of EC competition rules.
