§ Mrs. BeckettA Green Paper on Utility Regulation, including regulation of gas and electricity, was published in March, and the consultation period extended until the end of May. My hon. Friend, the Minister for Science, Energy and Industry, is currently considering future policy and programme options for renewables, and expects to make a further announcement later this year. My Department will be publishing an Energy Paper setting out our policy on clean coal technology in the Summer. The review of energy sources for power generation is expected to reach conclusions by the end of June. The review of electricity trading arrangements, which is being co-ordinated by OFFER, will report in July.
