To ask the Secretary of State for Health what response he has made to the recommendations of Age Concern's report, On Your Feet: Older People and NHS Chiropody Services. [43161]

I wrote on 8 May 1998 to Evelyn McEwan, Director of Age Concern England. The report provides valuable information about National Health Service chiropody services and the perceptions of its users and providers.

Officials in the NHS Executive are looking at ways in which chiropody services might be further developed and will be consulting Age Concern during this process.
