To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he will announce the capital receipts initiative for the next three years. [43196]

§ Mr. Darling
The Chancellor announced in his 1997 Budget the amount of resources for the Capital Receipts Initiatives in 1997–98 and 1998–99.
The provision for the next three years will form part of the new spending plans which will be announced in the summer following the completion of the Comprehensive Spending Review.
