§ Mr. BattleThe current membership of the Tech Stars Steering Group is:
- Ronald Cohen (Chair): Apax Partners and Co.
- Peter Agar: CBI
- Sue Birley: Imperial College
- Hermann Hauser: Amadeus Capital Partners Ltd.
- Guy Herrington: DTI SME Policy Directorate
- Alistair Keddie: DTI Innovation Unit
- Craig Pickering: HM Treasury
- Adrian Piper: Bank of England.
The last meeting was 3 July 1998 (Dr. Hauser was unable to attend) at which the Group discussed progress on current actions in the areas of commercialisation of university research and corporate venturing. It also discussed what actions the Group might take in the area of European risk capital markets, and an interest was shown in understanding more about the US Small Business Innovation Research scheme.
The next meeting will be in late September, although a date has yet to be fixed.
