To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the amount spent on salaries and wages costs for(a) general and senior managers, (b) nurses and midwives and (c) administrative and clerical staff by NHS board for each financial year from 1991–92 to 1997–98. [53297]

The information available is listed in the tables. The table for administrative and clerical staff includes the salaries of general and senior managers, the costs of which are not detailed separately in the annual accounts. Figures for 1997–98 are not yet available.

(2) how much Scottish Homes has invested in housing associations to provide low-cost home ownership in (i) rural areas of Scotland excluding the Scottish Islands areas and (ii) the Scottish Islands areas in each year since 1992–93; and what proportion of Scottish Homes' total low-cost home ownership budget is represented by those figures; [54225]

(3) how many houses were completed for rent in (i) rural areas of Scotland excluding the Scottish Islands areas and (ii) the Scottish Islands areas using Housing Association grants in each year from 1992–93 to 1997–98; and how many units were completed in each of the foregoing years by each housing association; [54226]

(4) how many houses were completed for shared ownership and improvement for sale by each housing association in (i) rural areas of Scotland excluding the Scottish Islands areas and (ii) the Scottish Islands areas in each year from 1992–93 to 1997–98; [54227]

(5) how many tenants incentive scheme grants and rural home ownership grants were administered by each housing association in (i) the rural areas of Scotland, excluding the Scottish Islands areas and (ii) the Scottish Islands areas in each year from 1992–93 to 1997–98; [54228]

(6) what definition of rural has been adopted by Scottish Homes in each year since 1992–93 for the purpose of making investment decisions. [54229]
