To ask the Attorney-General what is his Department's policy towards the prosecution of men aged between 16 and 18 years for engaging in consenting homosexual acts in private. [53925]

The Crown Prosecution Service, which is headed by the Director of Public Prosecutions, subject to statutory superintendence by me as a Law Officer of the Crown, reviews and prosecutes all cases in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, issued under section 10 of the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985.
