§ Mr. FoulkesI will write to the hon. Gentleman with details of activities in Fiji funded over the past five years. British development assistance to the Pacific island countries is now provided from a single budget under a regional allocation rather than individual country programmes. The emphasis is upon two key sectors—education and rights and good governance—with particular emphasis upon three least-developed partner countries (Kiribati, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu), with assistance also to regional organisations and institutions.
