HC Deb 30 July 1998 vol 317 c446W
Dr. Gibson

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on allegations of(a) harassment, (b) breach of contract and (c) sexual discrimination concerning staff in the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency. [52046]

Mr. Spellar

MOD does not tolerate or condone any form of harassment, discrimination or persecution of individuals or groups in the workplace and has formal processes in place to facilitate the handling of complaints. Civil servants also have the right to appeal to the Civil Service Appeal Board on more serious matters. This applies as much to staff in the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency as to any other MOD employees.

All allegations are subject to these processes and are dealt with on a confidential basis. It would therefore be inappropriate to identify complainants or their complaints, or to comment on them.
