§ Mr. Banks[holding answer 23 July 1998]: All English Sports Council (ESC) Lottery awards, capital or revenue, are accessible to women's sport groups, as openness and equality are essential principles of Lottery Sport funding.
There are currently 589 female athletes benefiting from Lottery funding under the World Class Performance Programme.
