HC Deb 29 July 1998 vol 317 c287W
Sir Raymond Powell

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many car spaces are planned to be provided for the new Scottish Parliamentary building; to whom these spaces will be made available; and how much they will cost to provide. [53101]

Mr. Dewar

On present plans, the proposed number of car parking spaces to be provided in the new Scottish Parliament building is 170. This figure comprises 129 secure dedicated spaces for MSPs with the remainder being available for visitors and staff, including special provision for disabled users. The cost of providing car parking facilities will be met within the overall project budget.
