§ Mr. Straw[holding answer 23 July 1998]: Mr. Bleach was interviewed by officers of North Yorkshire Police at his home address on 14 September, 22 September and 8 December 1995 about an alleged illegal shipment of arms. I understand that he also met officials at the London office of the Defence Export Services Organisation of the Ministry of Defence in late 1994 regarding the supply of helicopters to Bangladesh. This led to subsequent meetings with the British Defence Attaché in Dhaka.
