§ Mr. BoatengOver 300 projects are being supported by the £10 million made available recurrently in 1997–98 for improvements to breast cancer services. These focus primarily on rapid access to diagnostic services, speedy access to treatment and the provision of high quality care delivered in line with published guidance by specialist multi-professional, multi-disciplinary teams.
Health authorities are monitoring achievement of all the approved funding and will provide a comprehensive report to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State this autumn on the measurable improvements delivered in the services they provide.
