§ Mr. Paul MurphyThose constructing buildings for which my Department is responsible are required to comply with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (NI) 1995 which cover the use of hazardous materials such as those containing asbestos. These 275W regulations in turn require compliance with other statutory regulations, approved codes of practice and Health and Safety Executive guidance notes relating specifically to, and giving guidance on, the use of materials containing asbestos.
