§ Mr. FoulkesThe Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, my hon. Friend the Minister for Leeds, Central (Mr. Fatchett), had discussions with the Government of Sudan and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement during his visit to Nairobi and Khartoum on 14–16 July. Our Ambassador in Khartoum has regular discussions with Government of Sudan representatives at all levels on the humanitarian situation and the political process. Following my hon. Friend's visit, we are in contact with regional governments and international organisations to take full advantage of the three-months' cease-fire agreed for Bahr el Ghazal.
