§ Angela EagleI am not aware of any guidance specifically relating to Silchester, although Thames Water Utilities Ltd. would be expected to follow general guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive which was relevant to their employees. The Environment Agency authorises Hunting-BRAE Limited to discharge low level radioactive waste to the sewer. The authorisation is currently being revised and as a normal part of its consideration of this revision the Environment Agency will specifically be considering the potential impact on sewerage workers. Thames Water will be consulted as part of this process.
