§ Mr. HainEstimated net current expenditure per pupil for 1998–99 is £2,331 in Denbighshire and £2,433 in Wales. It is for each authority to decide on funding for individual services; taking account in the case of schools of the priority we attach to driving up standards and securing improved outcomes for all pupils.
