To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many teachers gaining first appointments as teachers in Scotland in each year from 1993–94 to 1997–98 in each council area were given(a) permanent full-time contracts, (b) permanent part-time contracts, (c) non-permanent contracts for over 12 months, (d) contracts for three to 12 months and (e) contracts for less than three months.
