§ Clare ShortWe are providing assistance for the effects of the Chernobyl disaster mainly through the multilateral agencies such as the World Health Organisation.
In addition, in Belarus we are supporting Chernobyl charities through our Small Grants Scheme. We will fund a workshop in September 1998, through the Know-how Fund in collaboration with the charity Chernobyl Children's Life-Line, which will bring 12 people from Belarus to visit UK hospitals and social services here. Also under the Know-how Fund, and in collaboration with Chernobyl Children's Life-Line, we are preparing a project to support foster homes in Belarus.
