§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe proposed change to the vehicle registration format is not due to be implemented until 2001. Interested parties, including industry, will be consulted on the draft regulation to effect the change before it is laid before Parliament nearer that time. It is Government policy that all such changes are accompanied by a Regulatory Impact Assessment.
