Friend the Secretary of State has no plans to introduce any specific measures in respect of those privately owned historic houses that may be subject to the withdrawal of One-Estate Election (OEE) in April 2001. Treasury Ministers are aware of the concerns about the repeal of OEE. Such matters of taxation policy are for Treasury Ministers.
