§ Ms JowellThe National Screening Committee, which offers health Ministers advice about the case for introducing or changing individual screening programmes, has not yet considered the case for a national screening programme for diabetes. However, the Committee will be considering the emerging evidence as part of its future programme of work. Any decision on the introduction of a national programme will be made in the light of that consideration.
