§ Dr. HowellsThe Government announced on 3 April their response to the Qualification and Curriculum Authority's advice, in the light of the recent Qualifying for Success consultation on post-16 qualifications, on how best to implement our commitment to support broader A levels and upgraded vocational qualifications, underpinned by rigorous standards and Key Skills. Revised GCE A level syllabuses, a new one year AS qualification and modifications to the Advanced GNVQ are due to be introduced from September 2000.
