§ Mrs. Roche[holding answer 7 July 1998]: The Government fully support the review of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises which was formally launched last month. The first phase of the review, a stocktaking and examination of experience of the guidelines, will provide a basis for determining which areas of the guidelines require revision or updating. This Department will continue to consult widely with other Government Departments and with business, trade unions, and interested NGOs in preparing detailed positions on the issues addressed by the guidelines.
