§ Ms Glenda Jackson[holding answer 7 July 1998]: Few CTRL works in phase two are concerned exclusively with environmental protection and decisions on extensive tunnelling were taken for engineering reasons as much as for environmental reasons. It is not practicable, therefore, to separate environmental protection costs from the total.
