§ Mr. RaynsfordOur policy towards the development of wind turbines remains as set out in Planning Policy Guidance note 22, 'Renewable Energy'. That provides guidance to decision makers on a range of land use planning considerations relevant to the siting of wind turbines. It is necessary to consider both the immediate impact of renewable energy projects on the local environment and their wider contribution to secure sustainable energy supplies and to reducing emissions of greenhouse gases.
