§ Ms JowellThe Department's policy research programme and the central National Health Service research and development programmes are not currently supporting any research into differences in the prescription of contraceptive methods between general practitioner-based and other family planning clinics. Records are not, however, held centrally of all research carried out in the NHS. While related research is evaluated when received by the Department, we are unaware of recent research specifically covering differences of prescription/supply of contraceptives from various sources.
