§ The Prime Minister[holding answer 1 July 1998]: Since the publication of the Report of the Review Body for Nursing Staff, Midwives, Health Visitors and Professions Allied to Medicine in January, my office has received 147,849 items of correspondence from members of the public. Of these 1,100 were copies of a standard campaign letter on the subject of staging the pay award for physiotherapists and other professions allied to medicine. 46 other letters on this subject were also received.
