§ Mr. MilburnThis information cannot be provided in its entirety because records are kept centrally for a five year period only. It is not possible to provide the sums allocated by specialty as the contracting system between health authorities and trusts is not done on an individual specialty basis. However, it is possible to provide the sums spent by the main specialty groups and the number of patients treated by specialty in the main specialty groups, for the five year period from 1992–93 to 1996–97. This is shown in the tables, copies of which are available in the Library.
