§ Mr. George HowarthThe Home Office, together with the Scottish Office, Welsh Office and the Government Office for London, is contributing to research by the Constitution Unit and Social and Community Planning Research. This is looking at what would be the most suitable design of the ballot paper for list-based electoral systems, such as those being introduced for elections to the Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly, Greater London Assembly and European Parliament. A report is expected in the autumn.
