§ Mr. Field[holding answer 29 June 1998]: This Department does not maintain any public registers. However, the Registrar of Occupational and Personal Pensions maintains a register of occupational and personal pensions pursuant to regulation 2 of the Register of Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997/371). The Registrar is an independent statutory office-holder appointed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State.
