asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will reconsider the decision made by the previous government to withdraw core funding for the Council for Education in World Citizenship. [HL2463]

Core funding for the Council for Education in World Citizenship (CEWC) ceased at the end of March 1998. The department continues to provide funding to CEWC for individual projects. We are considering ways of further supporting citizenship initiatives.
