§ Dawn PrimaroloClearance applications under section 707, which involved the purchase by a company of its own shares, were received by the Inland Revenue as follows:
- (a) between 1 July and 31 December 1995: 518
- (b) between 1 July and 31 December 1996: 634
- (c) five months 1 July to 30 November 1997: 489.
The figures for December 1997 are not yet available.
As statistics are compiled on a monthly but not daily basis, figures are given from 1 July rather than 2 July.
