§ Ms JowellThe Committee on Medical Aspects of Food and Nutrition Policy (COMA), in its Report, "Dietary Reference Values for Food Energy and Nutrients for the United Kingdom" published in 1991, set a Dietary Reference Value (DRV) for the population average intake of non-starch polysaccharide (dietary fibre) at 18 grams per day. In setting this DRV COMA took account of the recommendations of other national and international bodies in this area. Copies of the Report are available in the Library.
