§ Mr. Nigel Griffiths[holding answer 19 January 1998]: The Department has received numerous letters from one individual and a letter from the hon. Lady on 15 October. I have placed a copy of my reply to her in the Library of the House, but regard other replies as personal to the recipient.
In line with established practice in such cases. Ministers do not confirm or deny whether investigations are taking place or not.
Ministers of this Department have not met representatives of the company during the period in question, nor have officials had any meetings.
