§ Clare ShortThe Department for International Development is supporting democracy in Uganda through a £250,000 civic and voter education project to improve Ugandans' awareness of their democratic rights and responsibilities, and to strengthen the capacity of the Ugandan Electoral Commission. A project is also under preparation which will improve the administrative capacity available to the Ugandan Parliament.
