§ Mr. IngramThe Industrial Development Board continues to make steady progress in promoting inward investment in Northern Ireland. Since the beginning of July 1997, 16 projects offering 2,144 jobs and representing promised investment of some £266 million, have been announced by externally owned companies. The climate for investment remains strong and the consolidation of the peace process through a political settlement will have significant impact on the promotion of Northern Ireland as an investment location.
