§ Mr. FoulkesThe total expenditure on bilateral assistance given to Sri Lanka in 1997 by Her Majesty's Government was about £6 million. This included some assistance to projects in the health sector; in particular for a project to improve health of mothers and children displaced by civil conflict. No food aid was provided.
