§ Dr. David ClarkInformation on whether those appointed to public bodies acted as party agents is not held centrally. The Commissioner for Public Appointments does require that all candidates appointed make a declaration about any public political activity they have undertaken in the last five years, and, for monitoring purposes, identify the political party concerned. The Commissioner's third report, due to be published in July 1998, will contain the declared political activity information at aggregate level.
