§ Mr. SpellarThe Ministry of Defence has for some years conducted research into potential Non-Lethal Weapons technologies to assess not only performance but also operational deplorability, supportability, environmental impact and effect on personnel. Accordingly, a wide range of technologies have been examined at various Establishments, all of which have now been subsumed into the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency.
