To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons aged (i) under 15 years, (ii) under 16 years, (iii) under 17 years and (iv) under 18 years were being held in Lewes prison in each month between January 1994 and November 1997 inclusive. [21439]

1 Lewes prison only receives inmates aged 17 years or over on remand and sentenced inmates aged 18 years or over. There are therefore no inmates aged under 15 or 16 held in the prison for the period specified.
