To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has to include the offence of cycling on the pavement in the list of fixed penalty offences; and if he will make a statement. [22213]

§ Mr. Michael
The Government intend to make cycling on the pavement a fixed penalty offence later this year. This will be done by Statutory Instrument under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
