§ Mr. Ingram[holding answer 20 January 1998]: The perceived religion of sergeants in the RUC as at 2 February 1998 was 90.4 per cent. Protestant, 7.81 per cent. Roman Catholic and 1.79 per cent. undetermined. For inspectors, at the same date, the figures were 86.78 per cent., 9.92 per cent. and 3.3 per cent. respectively.
