§ Mr. RaynsfordThe Department and the Scottish Office monitor housebuilding activity in England and Scotland respectively. They collect information from local authorities about house building in their area, and in the case of England, this is supplemented with information from the National House Building Council. Recent figures for the three areas are shown in the table.
