To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will alter the payment of pensions to service widows who were widowed before 1973 to bring such pension policy into line with that for service widows widowed after 1973. [30740]

The Government have no plans to alter the rules of the Armed Forces Pension Scheme which apply to Service widows whose husbands retired before 31 March 1993.
