HC Deb 23 February 1998 vol 307 c1W
Mr. Kidney

To ask the Attorney-General what changes he proposes for the Crown Prosecution Service's cash and running costs limits for 1997–98. [30436]

The Attorney-General

Subject to Parliamentary approval of the necessary supplementary estimate, the cash limit for Class VIII, Vote 4 will be increased by £4,500,000 from £220,083,000 to £224,583,000. Funding of the increase will be by a transfer of funds from the Home Office (Class VIII, Vote 1) and will not therefore add to the planned total of public expenditure.

The running costs limit of Class VIII, Vote 4 will be increased by £4,500,000 from £216,605,000 to £221,105,000. This will fund several Home Office legislative initiatives.
