§ Clare ShortSubject to Parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate, the cash limit for Class II, Vote 5 will be increased by £30,934,000 from £1,564,280,000 to £1,595,214,000 and the DFID running cost limit by £1,137,000 from £56,379,000 to £57,516,000.
Rollover of underspend of 1995 EC attributed aid provision 13,955,000 Rollover of underspend of 1996–97 voted provision on Class II, Vote 5 16,742,000 Inward PES transfer from the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (Class VI, Vote 1) in respect of transfer of responsibility to DFID for the United Nations Commission for Human Settlements 100,000 Inward PES transfer from FCO (Class II, Vote 1) following transfer of full responsibility to DFID for administering the Know How Fund 137,000 Increase in Vote cash limit 30,934,000 The increase on the running cost limit is in respect of the inward PES transfer of £137,000 as mentioned above and transfer of resources of £1,000,000 from programme costs.The increases will be offset by transfers and a claim on the Reserve and therefore will not add to the planned total of public expenditure.
