§ Mr. SpellarThe MOD's main advertising needs arise in connection with Services recruiting campaigns, and are arranged through agreements with the Central Office of Information. No new contracts have been awarded on our behalf since 1 May 1997. Some other Services' recruitment advertising is arranged locally, on a Single Service basis, but the information is not held centrally, and could be provided only with disproportionate cost.
